Spire is set in a fantasy steampunk mile high edifice. Centuries ago the aelfir, or high elves, defeated the dark elves and took control, using it as outpost for their continued colonization to the south. You are members of the Ministry of Our Hidden Mistress; One part resistance agent, one part religious zealot, one part freedom fighter - all drow. Spire must be freed from the boot of the cruel overlords... and if not, then the city must fall.
You and your cell are in your home neighborhood in the Middle City, recovering from your latest mission. However, it seems revolution is not just something that stirs the hearts of the unpaid masses downspire in the Works, or a daring terrorist strike upspire in Ivory Row. Someone is spreading dissidence in All Bright Square, and it is attracting attention - the wrong kind of attention.
Bring a pencil and eraser, a handful of d10s, a d8 and a d6, and burning social conscience.
