Community Conversations: Exploring Misinformation

From fact-checking strategies, AI detection tools, to the importance of digital literacy, this lecture attempts to offer insight on how to sift through and discern the truth amidst the vast and often chaotic online content.
Ahmed Al-Rawi is an Associate Professor of News, Social Media, and Public Communication at the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University. Since 2019, he has been the Director of the Disinformation Project whose findings and insights were featured in different outlets nationally and internationally.
