Soaring Summer: SUPERMAN at Lennox Phoenix Theater!

Join us for what may be the most exciting superhero film we’ll see this year: SUPERMAN! Writer/director James Gunn (the mastermind behind the 3 Guardians of the Galaxy movies) brings his considerable talent to the DCU for this Superman origin story! DESCRIPTION: The film explores Clark Kent / Superman's journey to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with his adoptive human family in Smallville, Kansas. It follows our titular superhero as he reconciles his heritage with his human upbringing. Once the embodiment of truth, justice and the human way, he finds himself in a world that now views this as old-fashioned. The film is written/directed by James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy Series) and stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman, alongside Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion and Isabela Merced

BUZZ: The reviews are out and Superman is a hit! This “action-packed” and “very funny” superhero film is also “fabulously smart and entertaining” with that critics say, “inspires genuine delight” and is a “rollicking good time!” Rotten Tomatoes gives it a “Certified Fresh” 83% positive rating and says, “Pulling off the heroic feat of fleshing out a dynamic new world while putting its champion's big, beating heart front and center, this Superman flies high as a Man of Tomorrow grounded in the here and now.”

PLAN: Please purchase your ticket for the 6:00pm showing and we’ll meet inside the theater lobby between 5:30 and 5:45pm! Tickets just $10.99 adult / $9.49 senior / $8.49 miliary. Once you have yours, please list your seat number in the Comments section of this event. Because of the earlier showtime, we’ll plan to make this a movie only event. NOTE: We ended up going with the 6pm showing because it’s in their largest auditorium on their biggest screen (non-IMAX because there is no evening IMAX showing) and has the lowest ticket prices.
