Sunday Special, Only $99 for a Fantastic Day Out!

Hi Bird Lovers,

Come join us for a wonderful spring birding adventure north of Barrie as we explore some of Ontario’s most exciting birding areas, including Minesing Wetlands, Tiny Marsh, and the Barrie waterfront at Kempenfelt Bay.

Spring is one of the most exciting times of year to be out birding. Migration is getting underway, birds are on the move, and every stop can bring something new. Millions of birds are heading north at this time of year, and places like Minesing Wetlands and the surrounding marshes are important resting and feeding areas along the way.

It is a fantastic time to be out in nature, and you never know what might turn up.

We’ll be looking for a great variety of birds throughout the day. Birds of prey are always a highlight, and we will have a good chance for Bald Eagles along with several hawk species. Eastern Bluebirds are another special bird we’ll be hoping to find.

In the marshes and wetlands, we’ll be watching for ducks, geese, herons, and Sandhill Cranes, along with other early spring arrivals.
We’ll also be listening for the songs of returning birds and watching the woods carefully for woodpeckers and other songbirds. Downy, Hairy, and Pileated Woodpeckers are all possible, along with Northern Flickers and Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers.
Depending on the day, there is always the chance of a few nice surprises too, which is part of what makes spring birding so much fun.

This outing is perfect whether you are an experienced birder or just getting started. It will be a relaxed, friendly day out with lots of great birding, beautiful scenery, and plenty of help with bird identification along the way. I always enjoy sharing the birds and the excitement of the season with a small group, and this should be a really enjoyable day.
