Dairy Creek (44mi 1500')


Details
We'll start at Jessie Mays Community Park and head out towards Pumpkin Ridge. This time we only climb the first bit before looping around the golf course and cruising on Mountaindale road to Dairy Creek.
Dairy Creek is a beautiful ride that climbs roughly 400' over 8 miles. At the top we can break for pictures, water, snack, etc. before descending back down to the flats.
Out on the flats we'll get some easy miles in by heading out towards Wilkesboro, Kansas City, and back to North Plains.
Level: Speedy Intermediate. This is not a beginner ride, nor is it a racing ride.
14-16 mph average pace for this no-drop ride. We'll regroup at the top of hills and when necessary. Climb at your own pace. Bring a layer for fun times cruising down. Guidelines for this ride are: safety, flexibility, and communication.

Everyone must have a copy of the route on their device, printed out, or in their head. If you decide to give it a try and maybe cut out early, you need to be able to find your way back to the start.
You'll enjoy this ride if: you enjoy speeding along on the flats interspersed with short climbs, scenic vistas, and want to still have time to do other things later in the day. Or, you want to train or stay in shape for harder rides.

Rain will cancel/reschedule this event, or I may just move to Zwift. We'll go with one of the top 3 sources on forecast advisor combined with Epic Ride Weather to inform weather-related decisions.
Mandatory for all riders:
At least 2 full water bottles and snacks.
No earbuds.
Helmets must be worn at all times while riding.
Obey traffic laws, and remember you’re a representative of the greater cycling community.
Have your ride in good working order and bring a flat kit & the right size spare tube on all rides. If there is an issue with proper working or lack of equipment, you may be asked to sit the ride out.
