Welcome to the second meetup of the year!
This is for anyone working with or interested in Ruby/Ruby on Rails. Feel free to join us on Thursday, March 8th, at Shortcut's office, starting 6:00PM.
# What is Ruby/Ruby on Rails?
Ruby (https://www.ruby-lang.org) is a dynamic and open source programming language with a focus on simplicity and productivity. It has an elegant syntax that is natural to read and fun to write. Ruby ranks among the top ten, largely due to the popularity of Ruby on Rails.
Ruby on Rails (http://rubyonrails.org) is a web framework that includes everything you need to build fantastic applications. Some of the applications that were built with Rails are: Basecamp, GitHub, Shopify, Airbnb.
