Ruby Meetup Oslo with Ali Krynitsky and Sergy Sergyenko

Welcome to a new Ruby Meetup, hosted in the Attensi offices

This will be one for the ages, as we are joined by Ali Krynitsky and Sergy Sergyenko, organisers of Baltic Ruby, Euruko 2023 and Ruby Europe 🎉

We start at 18:00 with pizza, and then talks will start around 19:00. Hoping most of you will join us at Oslo Street Food after we wrap up as well to continue the discussions

Ali will share his perspective on the challenges the global Ruby community has gone through and got stuck in, and how we might overcome this stage of growing up as an ecosystem.

Sergy will show how to run open-source LLMs locally on CPUs — fast, private, and cost-effective — using llama.cpp and smart optimizations like quantization and memory-efficient kernels.
