Cracking Open The National Treasure With Ruby!
Details
After an extended break Ruby Ireland returns with a strong pipeline of talks over the next few months. We kick off this series by catching up with TheProductWorks (http://www.theproduct.works/), who've brought the Ruby language to server rooms that may surprise you...
Opening the NTMA with Ruby by Conor Wogan (https://twitter.com/conorwogan) - Last year, TheProductWorks teased us with details of an exciting Ruby-based project in a traditional Irish corporate body, without being able to disclose who that was. Well, they've just completed the project for that client - the NTMA (http://www.ntma.ie/). It was a big success and they’ll be sharing their story with us.
Lightning talks: Using Rescue at Zendesk by Dino.
If you want to take part with a talk of your own in future, even a short one, please submit it here (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSewR0q9zrIrGUh8GTzPQj1iiUF1U1AOq4P07hWxvtYbG6esqg/viewform?c=0&w=1).
Note: Doors to Zendesk open at 7:00pm. However we will be having a pre-meetup pint in The Barge (http://www.thebarge.ie/) across the road at 6:20pm for ye early adopters, where Zendesk will generously be sponsoring a fingerfood platter for those who make it along. Warning: you risk spoiling your pizza appetite later :-) Tweet at @rubyireland (https://twitter.com/rubyireland) if you need to find us in The Barge.
Thanks to Zendesk (https://www.zendesk.com) for hosting us, sponsoring the pizza, the fingerfood platter and generally being amazing!
And also thanks to JetBrains (http://www.jetbrains.com/) for the RubyMine IDE licence prizes.
Minimum age limit to attend is 18 years.
