Hello again, old Ruby friend. We're back!

1.year.ago was the last Ruby Ireland meetup. It sounds kind of crazy. Back then, humans could roam freely, Ruby 2 was the latest stable version and Hotwire was just a twinkle in DHH's eye 😀 Fast forward (or should that be slow forward!) to today and we have lots of new tools, ideas and other things to explore. So, even if we're a little maxed out from staring at a screen all day, it's time to bring back out that love of Ruby in the community ❤️💎❤️

So we'll be hosting our first online meetup and we invite you to join us! Our event will kindly be sponsored by Clio (https://www.clio.com) who use lots of Ruby to power their cloud-based legal solution. We hope they won't need to take care of any legal worries on the day! However, they will be helping us out with the video conferencing side of things. So it should be a smooth ride as we sail through a couple of great talks...

### Using Mobility to Store Translations with Ali Ilman (@thealiilman)

In this talk, we'll go through the options provided by Mobility for storing translations in the database, and what to watch out for when internationalising a Rails app.

### Top 5 Ruby Tips In The Community (By The Community)

We all have a few nuggets of information that we've accumulated over the years (or even months if you are a newer Ruby dev). Share your Top 3 Tips, or whatever you've got, and we'll present them in a little Top Ruby Tips slot at the meetup. One of the meetup organisers will read out the tips, so this is a great way to contribute without needing to talk :-) Submit your Top Ruby Tips using the following form https://forms.gle/NQMCKCrY1wLCVy5w5

We are very grateful to Clio for sponsoring this meetup.

We'd also like to welcome Sofia (https://twitter.com/SofiaSiw) onboard as a meetup organiser, who has played a big role in making this event happen, and will be helping out on the evening as we all try to figure out this world of remote meetups together!

Note: Laptops open at 6:30pm. Talks start shortly afterwards.

Details to join online will be posted nearer the date. Stay tuned.

Minimum age limit to attend is 18 years.
