Presentation on The Basics of Rails at Tractor Brewing Wells Park

Hey Everyone!

We'll be hosting a "Basics of Ruby on Rails" Presentation on Wednesday, September 29th at Tractor Brewing - Wells Park at 5:30pm!

This presentation will cover the basics of Ruby on Rails! Ruby on Rails is a popular server-side framework that is used to build web applications. Many apps you know and love (including Github, AirBnB, Shopify, Twitch, and Basecamp) currently use Rails in production to build great software for their users!

In this presentation we will go over what Rails is, the philosophy behind "The Rails Doctrine", MVC Architecture, and a basic primer on working with Models, Views, and Controllers in Rails! To show these concepts I'll be building a basic "To-Do" App from scratch, and the goal will be to have people leaving with the confidence to start building basic web applications with Rails!
