Open your eyes to if statements, don’t just accept them as the de facto way of doing programming.
Learn to recognise the cost of if statements and branches that you are writing. Understand and identify the common patterns & problems you are solving with if statements. Finally learn techniques on how to factor them out leave branchless clean OO orientated code.
