=======
We have a new venue for this month's meetup: Flux Federation!

This month we have Raquel Moss talking about Purchasing Power Parity:

"If you market your services globally, you might be missing out on customers who can't afford your product because their currency doesn't stack up favourably against yours. Let's take a dive into Purchasing Power Parity--we'll explore what it is, why you might want to introduce it into your app, and how I implemented it for an egghead.io project.

The talk will comprise three sections. First, I'll give an explanation of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) for those of us who aren't economists. We'll talk about the Big Mac Index, which people might be familiar with. Next I'll talk about how PPP is calculated, to give people an idea of how they might implement it in their apps. Finally, I'll dig into how I implemented PPP for an egghead.io project (testingjavascript.com), a Gatsby site that communicates with a Ruby on Rails back-end."

Please get in touch if you'd like to present something, we've had a wide variety of topics and presenters in the past, so don't feel shy!

Best place is via the slack group (details a bit further down) and send @four_seven a message (that's me!).

Doors open at 5:30pm with talks starting at 6:00pm. We'll break for pizza and chatting/networking after the talk.

Please join us in the Ruby NZ Slack

Lots of us are hanging out there, you can get an invite from the official Ruby NZ (http://ruby.nz/) site here (http://slack.ruby.nz/). Don't forgot to join the #wellington channel too as that's were any discussion and announcement about this meetup occurs.

Sponsorship

Optimal Workshop (https://www.optimalworkshop.com) is once again covering the pizza. They're also a big fan and sponsor of the NZ Rails Camps!! Thanks!

Flux Federation is providing us with some sweet venue space for this month's event!
