End of Year Social Catchup

As another year comes to a close, we’d like to have a drink, some food and some good chats to celebrate!

We’ve got some tables booked at Leroys from 5:30pm. We've got some tables booked downstairs and we'll add more specific details about how to find us on the night.

We currently have a 20 person limit but if we approach the limit we'll book some more tables to allow for more people.

There is no sponsor and no bar tab so you’ll need to pay for yourself - but Leroys caters for a variety of budgets (Leroys menu).

Depending on numbers there'll be a (very casual!) Ruby/Rails quiz throughout the night! It’s a chance to test your knowledge and share with the group.

Everyone is included
We expect everyone who attends to follow the Ruby NZ code of conduct. Despite being hosted at a bar there’s absolutely no pressure to drink alcohol as Leroys has many non-alcoholic beverages available. They also have vegan, vegetarian and gluten free food items available.

There are no talks scheduled - but we’d love to hear about your ideas for talks in 2023! As a reminder, we’re currently looking for four more speakers to fill the rest of our meetup schedule for 2023. If you have a tool, an experience, a project, tricky challenges, best practices you’d like to share or if you want to give public speaking a try, we’d love to hear from you!

This meetup will not be streamed or recorded - since this meetup is a social catch-up in person there will be no online component, but we’ll continue streaming and recording our meetups throughout 2023 though and in the meantime you can checkout the previous recordings on YouTube.
