Rumi and the Sufi Arts Meetup Group

Join us at the Rumi Corner in Mission Hills for two hours of tea, poetry, and conversation centered on the work of Rumi.
We’ll start by serving North African mint tea and sweets. Then we’ll read selections from Rumi together and talk about what they mean: love, presence, longing, and remembrance. You don’t need any background in Sufism or poetry. Come curious and come as you are.

The evening closes with a short period of quiet reflection, followed by open time to talk with the group.

What to expect

• Mint tea and North African sweets
• Readings from Rumi, with space for anyone who wants to read aloud
• Guided discussion of the themes in each poem
• A short closing reflection
