2024-10-26: Saturday Afternoon Rummy in Long Beach

RummyWorks invites you to our free, community-focused Halloween Rummy Club Party at Panera Bread on Bellflower Blvd on Saturday, October 26th, starting at 2:00 PM! Whether you're a seasoned player or a rummy rookie, this event is open to all—family-friendly and fun for everyone.

We’ll kick off our Costume Contest at 3:00 PM. Come dressed up to participate or come as you are to enjoy the games! We'll assign numbers to those in costume, collect votes, and announce the winner at 4:30 PM. For safety and socializing, please no masks or full-face makeup—we want everyone to connect face-to-face.

There will also be free Halloween candy for all, so get ready for some spooky fun!

RummyWorks will bring over 24 decks of standard playing cards for classics like Gin Rummy, Rummy 500, and Canasta, plus commercial favorites like Rummikub, Five Crowns, and Phase 10. We’ll even have new indie rummy variants you might not have heard of, and some specialized games for kids as young as 4 years old. We also bring Mahjong for those who enjoy more variety!

If you're new to rummy, don’t worry! Between our printed instructions, helpful facilitators, and our friendly, welcoming community, you’ll quickly learn the ropes and be part of the fun.

Looking for merch? We’ll have Rummy Club t-shirts, zip-up hoodies, and rummy tile storage bags available for purchase, along with many of the games and sets we bring to play. Just ask the RummyWorks facilitator if you’re interested!

This event is completely free, so bring your friends and family! RSVPs are appreciated but not required—whether you plan ahead or show up last minute, we’d love to have you.
