TARA LUANEI - 28 NOVEMBER

Guys, on Saturday, 28 November, we’re heading to Țara Luanei (Luana’s Land), near Bozioru, in the Buzău Mountains, a region that is both geographic and mythological, part of the UNESCO Global Geopark “Buzău Land”.

The area is famous for its complex of hermit cells, caves and tiny churches carved into the rock by hermits, monks and early Christian communities. Expect forest trails, sandstone rocks and a landscape full of legends, with a mix of nature, history and mystery that you won’t find anywhere else in Romania.

🏃 Trail Running Team: approx. 17 km, +965 m elevation gain
🥾 Hiking Team: approx. 10 km, +600 m elevation gain

Both routes require previous mountain experience and good physical condition. Expect steep climbs, uneven terrain and some exposed rocky sections.

🕖 Departure from Bucharest: 07:00 a.m.
📍 Trail start: Nucu, village, Buzău County

Guidelines
This route requires previous mountain experience and good physical condition. It is not suitable for beginners or people with medical issues.
Please inform the organizers in advance about your mountain experience and any relevant limitations.
If you cannot maintain the group’s pace, you are responsible for returning safely on your own.
The main goal of the event is socializing and enjoying the mountains, not performance.
A WhatsApp group will be created two days before the event for coordination.
Alcohol and any psychoactive substances are strictly prohibited during the activities.
Please follow the organizers’ instructions at all times.
