Details
What to Expect:
We’ll start with a 10-minute welcome, especially for anyone new to the group, along with a quick warm-up to get us set for our run.
Next, we’ll head out for a 2 mile run on the hard-packed sand. During the run, we’ll practice gratitude together, talk to new people and share 3 things you are grateful for and 1 thing you are excited about. I personally love running barefoot, but that is completely optional. Please wear whatever feels best for you. Many of us run in swimwear with sweatpants or layers so we’re ready for the plunge afterward.
After the run, we’ll briefly pause, breathe, and come back together before finishing with a refreshing ocean plunge/swim. Then we will enjoy electrolytes by LMNT!
My main goal for everyone is to hit all the happy hormones for a mid-week reset and great start to the day.
Dopamine (motivation/drive hormone) - will be hit by the cold plunge & completing 1-2 miles
Serotonin (mood hormone) - will be hit by getting sunlight & movement
Endorphins (stress reliever) - will be hit by getting heart rates up & sweating
Oxytocin (love hormone) - will be hit by connecting with each other & practicing gratitude
What to Bring
- Water bottle
- Towel
- Layers for warmth after the plunge
How to Find Us
I’ll arrive a few minutes early to the main lifeguard tower and will be easy to spot in a bright green swimsuit—feel free to come say hi when you arrive!
