New Meetup: Run with Jamie Donaldson

Announcing a new Meetup for The Denver Running Meetup Group!

What: Run with Jamie Donaldson

When: Wednesday, March 17,[masked]:00 PM

Road Runner Sports
10436 Town Center Drive Suite 102
Westminster, CO 80021

Jame Donaldson actually lives in Littleton and has won the woman's Badwater 135 race in both 2008 and 2009. If you include the men, she still placed 5th overall this year and 3rd overall last year.

For those that don't know: The Badwater 135 is an ultra in some of the harshest conditions. It goes 135miles from Death Valley to Mt. Whitney. That's a starting elevation of -282 (yes, negative 282) and finishes at about 8300ft with 3 mountain ranges giving a 13,000ft of climbing, along with 4,700ft of decent.

So she's definitely a bad @$$ :) She'll be at Road Runner Sports in Westminster on Wednesday March 17th. There will also be a "Run with Jamie" starting at 6pm from the store. Don't worry though, the guys at the store assured me it wouldn't be a 135mile run ;-)

You don't have to respond to the RSVP, you don't even have to notify them that you're coming. I just thought it was a great opportunity if anyone was interested and figured I'd use my super assistant meetup abilities to post it to let everyone know about it. If you do stop by and see me there, be sure to say hi though.

Plus, it's on St. Patty's Day, so you won't feel bad drinking after you got 'chicked' during the run :)
