The North Jersey Road Runners

This will be a 4 mile run or so through the streets of Rutherford. If you want a completely flat run, this run's not for you as there are gradual uphills and downhills throughout the run.

You are strongly encouraged to wear reflective gear. We run in the street and anything we can do to make ourselves more visible to drivers can only improve our safety. Evening running in the fall and winter seasons means a fair amount of darkness. Safety first!

This route is a 5K that goes through the streets of Ridgewood and Midland Park. We meet outside of Sweet Kitchen and then we'll run a route through the streets of Ridgewood.

We meet outside of Sweet Kitchen just across from the big clock in Ridgewood at the intersection of E. Ridgewood Ave. and Oak St. This is a fun route that starts off in downtown Ridgewood, then it goes underground, below the train tracks, then it's back on the streets and the steady incline begins and persists for a bit. After that, it gets a lot easier. Just be ready for the incline. If you don't like hills, the incline will be a nice little challenge as it only lasts for less than half a mile or so. Most of the run is on sidewalks.

This will be a 3-5 mile route that goes through the streets of Ridgewood. We will meet outside of Sweet Kitchen at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and Oak Street/Van Neste Square across from the big clock. The route is flexible and mostly on sidewalks.
Please bring coins or a credit card to park at the meters in Ridgewood. Enforcement begins at 10:00 am so if you're just coming for the run you'll be fine. If you want to hang for a cup of coffee afterwards you'll have to pay for some meter time. You can park a little further away from the meeting location to avoid the meters.
