Distance: 9 miles, fairly flat, stroller friendly. Weather: Running weather is expected to be in the high 50s with a chance of showers. Summary: This route will start in Madison Park and take us through Washington Park, all the way to Foster Island, back down Washington Blvd E. and all the way to Leschi Starbucks. Here we do a U-turn to come back to Madison Park and our starting point via McGilvra Blvd. E. Route Map: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/2271263641 Details: Our starting point is going to be Madison Kitchen - a great spot for pastries as well as hot breakfasts/lunches and only 3 blocks from the beach. From here we go SW on Madison Park (toward Capital Hill) until the SE entrance to Washington State Park on Lake Washington Blvd E. where we make a right to enter the park using Azalea Way. We take this all the way through the park until we reach the Arboretum and where Foster Point Trail begins. We will take this trail, going under Highway 520 all the way to Foster Point (great place for a pic). We turn back from here going back to the Arboretum but this time we come back through the park using Arboretum Dr. E. We go through the park until we reach Azalea Way again where we make a left. We continue for a short while until we reach the beginning of the park where Madison Park crosses Lake Washington Blvd. E. From here we continue on Lake Washington Blvd. E. to the end of Washington Park, across Madison Rd. and all the way past Lakeview Park and Madron Park to the Starbucks in Leschi. Here we do a U-turn, coming back the way we came but this time making a right on McGilvra Blvd. E. taking us back to Madison Ave. Another right here and we will be at Madison Kitchen after about 3 blocks.

Let’s check out Grand Central Bakery’s newest location in Wallingford! We will leave from the bakery and head down Stone Way and then west on the BG trail. We’ll cross the Locks and head back to the bakery along the Ship Canal trail.
