With our SPECIAL EVENT at Farnborough FC’s stadium not too far away, we need to firm up how many people want to come.

The planned format will be a 4 team tournament of 6 x 20 minute games (ie, 3 matches per team over 2 hours), followed by beer & pizza in the stadium’s Platinum hospitality suite.

While wanting to accommodate as many people as possible, we really need to limit the numbers to a max of 44 (ie, 4 x 11 man teams) to ensure everyone gets a sensible amount of pitch time. (If we get fewer than 44 wanting to play, we may revert to just 3 teams playing longer games.) In the event we’re oversubscribed, selection will need to be based on most regular attendance (and, therefore, contributions to club funds) over the past year - not on the usual first come first served basis.

If, at this stage, you think you want to come - please RSVP accordingly. If you deffo can’t make it, please actively decline the invite so we aren’t left wondering. Nobody will be penalised for accepting at this stage then having to pull out nearer the time.

If you want to be considered, however, you must RSVP and accept the invite no later than 2 weeks before the event (Friday 24th April).

There will be the usual £5 subscription for this game to make it fair to the guys in the group that aren’t able to attend.

NB: because of this event, our regular Saturday game at Frimley Lodge the following day (9th May) won’t go ahead.
