Introduction to Russian Speaking East Bay

This is our introductory event for the Russian Speaking Bay Area group. Most of the RSVPs are on Facebook. In addition to poetry sharing — as always, bring yours or someone else's, classic or contemporary, classical or modern, originally Russian or a translation — we are going to agree upon a schedule for future recurring meetings on the East Bay and otherwise define what those meetings should look like.

Caffe La Scala is a beautiful European coffee shop in downtown Walnut Creek -- one of extremely few (if there is any other) "coffee and books" places on the East Bay open late until 10 PM. There is ample space in the patio and a few tables outside on Main; we'll aim for the patio. Both Alex and Miranda look like their account avatars.

Due to expected attendance, the event will likely be Russian only, with only occasional translation.
