Ever wondered how the great masters "encoded" meaning into their music?

Join us at Tufts University for an immersive talk by New York-based composer and media artist Oleg Troyanovsky. We will dive into the visionary world of the Russian Avant-Garde and explore how these radical ideas shaped modern digital culture and film.

We will listen together and discuss the works of Scriabin, Stravinsky, and Schnittke. We will also explore:

  • Legendary Duos: The creative chemistry of Prokofiev & Eisenstein and Tarkovsky & Artemyev.
  • Sound as Architecture: How film scores became more than just background music.
  • Innovative Projects: Oleg will present his work with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Periodic Table sonification, and his "musical portrait" project, Selenus.
  • ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Language: English
  • ๐Ÿท Bonus: Free admission, refreshments included, and FREE on-campus parking.

Space is limited. ๐Ÿ‘‰ RSVP here or register via the link to secure your spot: https://forms.gle/DRETeyFkqrMf8MGY7

Organized by the Russian European Cultural Club (RECC) in partnership with the Fletcher School and the Tufts Department of International Literary and Cultural Studies.
