Talk Details: Rust in the automotive industry: Developing safety-critical applications efficiently and qualitatively
In this talk, Christof highlights the advantages of Rust for developing safety-critical applications through several examples. Compared to traditional solutions, Rust enables higher quality in less time. This leads to an increasing use of Rust in the automotive industry.

Methods and technologies are presented that enable the development of safety-critical applications even when using mixed programming languages.

Speaker Bio: Christof Petig
Christof Petig leads Rust working groups at SAE and AUTOSAR and develops software-defined vehicle solutions at automotive supplier Aptiv. He studied microelectronics and is responsible for several open-source projects ranging from merchandise management systems to computer games.

Talk Details: Why Serverless is the Best Choice for Your Next Greenfield Project
“Serverless First” frees teams from heavy infrastructure work so they can focus on building features that matter. But what does “serverless” really mean—and how do you know it’s right for your greenfield project?
In this session Florian Lenz will cut through the confusion, using examples like LEGO.com’s ability to handle huge global traffic and Coca-Cola’s vending machines thriving at small scale. We’ll also face the tough questions head-on, examining why Amazon Prime Video ultimately moved off a serverless model.

Speaker Bio: Florian Lenz
Florian is a Microsoft MVP and expert for cloud-native and serverless solutions in Azure. He supports companies in optimising their cloud landscapes and building architectures that guarantee sustainable success. Florian not only imparts technical expertise, but also provides his customers with strategic support in order to achieve long-term goals and seamlessly integrate innovative solutions into existing processes.
As a consultant, trainer and author, he shares his extensive knowledge of serverless and cloud technologies and speaks at international conferences. He also passes on his knowledge via meetups and a YouTube channel on Azure Serverless.

Detailed Directions
If you arrive by car, ample parking space is available at the PIN's Location. You'll see it if you approach the barrier. It is a bit hidden.
Public Transport via U-Bahn (U47 or U49) to U Hafen (3 stations from Dortmund central station), plus a short walk.
To enter the Industrie-Campus, you have to pass a barrier. Register at the barrier to enter the Industrie-Campus.
Follow the yellow dots on the ground and enter the building where they end. We're on the 2nd floor. Some parts of the building are still quite rough, but this adds a pleasant industrial atmosphere.
