And now for something completely different.

Hiking the Franconian Mountains!

Note: I have changed the planned route, because Pommelsbrunn is currently hard to reach by train. Nothing else changes.

Our hike will take about 6hrs and there will be a Gasthaus near the end. After meeting at nbg hbf, we take the train to Velden. We will walk to the Burg Hartenstein, and see the Petershöhle.

Obviously plan for weather, wear decent shoes, bring food to sustain you through a day of hiking. Charge your phone and download offline maps of the region. Be aware this event might take the entire day.

Feel free to bring anyone along if they want and don't mind occasional geekery.
