Exploring Slint: A Rust-based UI Toolkit – Mob Programming Session

Details
Join us for an mob programming session as we explore Slint, a declarative UI toolkit for building native user interfaces in Rust, C++, and JavaScript.
Whether you're new to Slint or curious about declarative UI development, this meetup is for you!
Format:
The format this time will Mob Programming. This means we will engage in a group coding session, and try to build something together. So bring your own computer with a Rust toolchain installed. We will supply the codebase beforehand.
This is a new format for us, so we're not sure how it's going to pan out. And that is part of the fun!
What you need to bring:
- Bring your laptop with a Rust environment set up: https://www.rust-lang.org/learn/get-started
Preparation:
We want to try to enable mob programming with VS Code + Live Share, so install:
- VS Code: https://code.visualstudio.com/
- Live Share-extension: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=MS-vsliveshare.vsliveshare
- Slint-extension: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Slint.slint
It might be a good idea to play with https://slintpad.com/ first as well. No prior experience with Slint is required though, actually most of us have none either.
Meetup space and food sponsored by Variant.
