Join our next edition of Rust Vienna Meetup, where we dive into the world of Rust programming.

The event will start at 18:00 with some time to arrive, find a seat and chat with other participants. Talks will start at 18:30 and after the talks, there will be enough time to meet the community and enjoy some drinks.

Michele, in his talk, will explore Rust in the field of data engineering, where you are usually stuck with writing python code. Surprisingly, this does not always have to be the case, as we'll explore in this talk! The focus of this talk is building data pipelines in Rust
using crates like DataFusion, object store and deploying + orchestrating this on an AWS Lambda-based architecture. We'll see how these concepts can be scaled to quite complex pipelines and how they can be applied in a production environment.

Vlad will explain to us why rust is the perfect fit for blockchains. No coins, no NFTs, just a pure tech talk. Blockchains are peer-to-peer system services. As a blockchain, you must not trust anything out there, neither the participants on the blockchain nor the code you are executing. Let’s see what WebAssembly, RocksDB, Cryptography, and Rust can bring to the Internet as a platform.
