Hey amazing people we are back again ...So You Think You Want to Be an Organic Farmer?..And you also want to enjoy the timtimati hui glow worms in the night ...then you are at the right place...read on for your experience of a life time!!!

Organic farming is a form of agriculture that relies on crop rotation, green manure, compost and biological pest control.

Being an organic farmer is hard work, and most of the work is done outdoors. Organic farmers care for their animals by giving them food and water, they plant and harvest crops, and they make sure their plants and animals stay healthy. They also take care of the machines that help them farm, like tractors and ploughs.

We are going to experience all of this on a large farmland which was not being used for agriculture...so be prepared to get your hands dirty and enjoy the elements for a day...you will start respecting the humble farmer ..and for many of us it will be an eye opener ...of making the best of available resources.

The farmer whom we are helping will cook food for us right near the field in a shed and with awesome weather ..its going to be a experience of a lifetime...

if we are lucky we can go to a guava and mango orchard across the road and help ourselves of some organic goodies...we experienced it on our last visit ...but this is subject to availability ;-)

we will clean up at a village well....after we finish our day's work.

Jawhar is a hill station located at an altitude of 518m. It is about 80 kms from Nasik and 180 kms away from Mumbai. Situated in the Thane district, Jawhar is known for its picturesque setting and a vibrant cultural heritage. . It is one of the very few tribal kingdoms in Maharashtra and is famous for its vibrant Warli paintings.

Car Pool costs on actuals. This time depending on the number of people we can book a traveller.Drive upto jawhar is very beautiful and good roads.Self drive vehicles can be hired too.

Acco. is in a beautiful bungalow. Rs.700 per person.We can accommodate about 15 people only.Food is on actuals but we will collect rs 600 in cash for food...

If you have any unused toys , clothes or picture books for children ..please do bring along ..which can be given to some children.Pls note no over sized clothes...
