Details

Just GET into the mainframe - Annie Nie (@Equus)

We all know that cliche line in movies when they need a computer nerd to do some security nonsense - "we need to hack into the mainframe". But what if, instead of someone mashing the keyboard as random text scrolls past in a black and green terminal screen, getting access into a mainframe was a reality? This is a story of a journey from "what's a mainframe?", to "I'm in" - all during the course of a pentest.

Shiva: A programmable ELF dynamic linker for security and micropatching Speaker: @elfmaster

Shiva is a custom dynamic linker that can be used for installing patches at runtime to fix bugs and vulnerabilities. It can also be used to design modules for debugging and security. In particular, I've developed a module for fine-grained ASLR using Shiva. In this talk we going to discuss how Shiva works and do a quick demo of the ASLR module that I've created.
