Serial Kicad - Peter Rankin

Getting into hardware hacking may appear hard, but sometimes we just need a basic overview to take those first steps. So in this talk we are going to design our own hardware hacking tool in Kicad - a usb-to-serial adaptor. Kicad is used to design Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) - the same boards you find in all those IoT devices. So if you can design your own hardware, you can better understand how to hack hardware. This talk will be a fast-pace Kicad demonstration.

Is recon simply about discovering that something exists? Perhaps it also involves uncovering all of its underlying parts and understanding what makes it tick. This talk is aimed at junior penetration testers or budding bug bounty hunters who would a 1-Up in their Web skill.
