Last month we had fun learning all about Backdoors and Breaches. This month, we’re zooming out and bringing in one of the people who helped shape the security community many of us learned from.

We’re excited to welcome Chris Sullo for this month’s Deep Dive, where we’ll tap into decades of hands-on experience across offensive security, research, open source, and community building.

Chris has over 30 years of information security work experience including as a leader of penetration testing services, a researcher with SPI Dynamics/HP, Head of Innovation at ProjectDiscovery, and various technical security roles with Capital One Bank. He is the author of the open source “Nikto” web server security assessment tool, which has been a top-rated free security tool since 2001. He is the founder of the RVAsec conference & community, was a board member and leader of the Open Source Vulnerability Database (OSVDB) project, and co-founder of the OSVDB related Open Security Foundation non-profit. Chris has achieved multiple technology and security related certifications including the CISSP.

At this month’s Deep Dive, Chris will be walking us through one of his most well-known and long-running contributions to the security community.
