Abstract: During this presentation, we’ll talk about migrating a Kafka cluster from one cloud to another without any downtime. We’ll start with a quick analysis of the system being migrated, then discuss the options we considered during the migration. After that, we’ll cover the Mirror Maker 2 tool and how it fits our needs. We’ll also talk about Mirror Maker 2 configuration and point out important considerations. The presentation will include the migration process and key metrics to watch. Finally, we’ll wrap up with a brief demo, demonstrating how to configure the replicator.
