What is art meditation?
Art meditation is a mindfulness technique that helps you to calm down, reduce stress and reconnect to yourself through creative expression. In this case, it is a space free of judgement that you create for yourself in the safety of your house. We focus on the process, not products (most of the time doodling and happily making marks that don't make much sense to your logical brain).

How does the session look like?
The session is online: we meet via google meets. I will guide you through a series of mindfulness drawing exercises and one visualisation. You can then share your drawings/stories with the rest of the group (not obligatory).

How to join?
Send an email to *studio@kayaheyman.com* before Sunday 19.06 and I will send you a meeting link.

What to prepare?
Prepare some paper (a bigger format like A3 recommended, but A4 will do too) and simple drawing materials like pencils, markers or fine liners.

What are the costs?
The session is free and recommended for those who would like to explore their creative side (or experience a lot of stress or overstimulation). If you are interested in diving deeper into those exercises, I offer 1-1 sessions in my art studio in Den Bosch.

What are the benefits?
I have been implementing elements of art meditation in my classes for my drawing students (some of them I guide for over a year). They notice how this helped them to become more free in creating and to deal with their inner perfectionist voice, which fostered the learning process significantly. I am proud to see them coming back for inspiration and learning how to develop creatively: making the journey enjoyable.

See you soon
