Day Hike (1A): Cosumnes River Preserve (Delta-Sierra Group)

Let's meet near Galt for a short gentle, refreshing local hike that should be a treat for nature-lovers. 5 miles, flat, through forest and prairie, alongside wetlands and river. Bring snacks, lunch, and liquids. Bring your field glasses! Hopefully we'll see sandhill cranes, and certainly a lot of birds, both in the trees and the waters.
Sorry, no dogs (park rule). Rain cancels. Leader keeps a slow pace with frequent stops. Gear list and other information will be provided after approval.
