Rogue River Greenway Training Walk
Details
Since the Valley of the Rogue Park parking lot now requires a fee, we’ll be meeting instead at John F. Fleming Veterans Memorial Park in Rogue River, located on the west side of the bridge over the Rogue River.
Our training walks are meant to give you a feel for the average daily distance on the Camino — with a options built in, just like the real thing! We’ll have two options for this outing:
- Option 1: We’ll all walk the Greenway to the picnic area at Valley of the Rogue Park (about 3.6 miles each way). Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy when we arrive! Most of the route is paved, with a few scenic off-pavement stretches along the river. Total distance: 7.2 miles round trip.
- Option 2: After lunch, you can continue another 3 miles to Del Rio Winery, where we’ll take a relaxing break before returning. Total distance: about 13.2 miles.
🚻 Restrooms are available at Valley of the Rogue Park and along the trail.
