H2SAS x Detroit Meets - A Night of MeetUps: Starting Your Business

Join us at Grand Circus on Tuesday, 10/22 from 6-8:30pm where Lekeitia Cokley and DeSean Whipple, co-founders of Urban Embodiment (UE), will host a workshop to discuss what it takes to start your business. They will provide insight into filing an article of organization, obtaining a tax identification number, and discuss free tools that are available to everyone in order to run your business for little to nothing.

Lekeitia's Background: I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and work full time. We started Urban Embodiment in 2017 in order to bring people together through social activities. We are best known for our "Find A Bae" speed dating service which we hosted at Arts, Beats, and Eats this past Labor Day. We've also hosted a variety of other social events and trips in addition to running a singles group on Facebook, "Singles Dating in Detroit" which has grown to over 1500 members.

For this event, we're teaming up with Detroit Meets, bringing together Detroit's engineering and entrepreneurial communities. In addition to H2SAS' Detroit's Female Startup Leaders panel, you'll have an opportunity to checkout several other Detroit MeetUps:
