See all- The Industrial Design of AgriTech -Commercialising IoT & on farm hardwareCodeFish Studios, Adelaide
Bringing robust AgriTech hardware from concept to commercial reality in agriculture is a long, iterative journey.
It demands more than just a good idea; it requires a deep understanding of industrial design, resilient engineering, and testing the unforgiving realities of the farm environment.
In partnership with CodeFish Studio, this SA AgriTech meetup will explore the product development process of creating agricultural technology.
We'll take a deep dive into the tools, strategies, and design principles required to build the next generation of sensors, IoT devices, and on-farm hardware that lasts.
Learn from the commercialisation journeys, design decisions, and product management learnings from the teams behind:
- CropX
- Woven Optics
- Soil Acoustics
- Hive Keepers
The meetup will be hosted at CodeFish Studio, where their team will demonstrate the tools and techniques they use to rapidly prototype and develop AgriTech products.
As always, it will be a great opportunity to network with our local AgriTech community and enjoy some food and great wine.
Thanks to AgriFutures growAG for their ongoing support and partnership with the SA AgriTech Meetup Community
- AgriTech Road Trip to Hart Field Day 2025Lirra Lirra Cafe, McLeod House, Waite Campus, Adelaide
Our next AgTech Road trip takes us to Hart Field Day on Tues 16th Sept (near the Clare Wine Region 2 hours north of Adelaide), which is one of the country’s leading agronomy field days attracting a crowd of over 500 farmers and industry representatives.
**Please separately buy a ticket for the event via Humanitix here **The $40 ticket covers the costs of both the bus and entry ticket, and thanks as ever to growAG for significantly subsidising the costs of the event through their sponsorship of our community.
The event is a unique opportunity for the AgriTech community to be on the trial site, hearing from leading researchers, having direct access to their expertise, and seeing where there could be a good fit with AgriTech and future opportunities for collaboration. FLUX robotics and SwarmFarm Robotics will both be doing live demos at the AgTech area of the event
Please arrive at the Beltana Cafe at Waite Campus for 0700 (bus needs to depart by 0715 at the latest), and we'll be dropping everyone back by 1830 in the evening. Please remember a hat and sunscreen
