This is a group for anyone interested in the theory and practice of statistical modelling and data analysis in SA. The group will promote interaction across the statistical community in Adelaide. While the group is organized by the SA Branch of the Statistical Society of Australia, anyone is welcome to attend our events.

Want to create reproducible presentations in R? This workshop is for you! Hosted by Dr Jono Tuke, University of Adelaide.
This course is intended for those with intermediate R skills who want to learn more advanced code for creating good presentations in R. Course content will include:
- quarto for reproducible reports and webpages
- using gt to get good tables
- more advanced ggplot
- combining plots with patchwork
- adding maths
- interactive plots.Participants will be expected to bring their own laptops with a recent version of RStudio installed. They should know how to do basic statistics in R and create simple plots in ggplot.
After the workshop, attendees should be able to:
- Create advanced plots, including combined and interactive plots
- Summarise statistics in tables
- Use R code embedded in quarto to create reproducible content for documents and webpagesBio: Dr Jono Tuke started his career as a veterinarian. After 12 years, he headed back to university to study maths and ended up with a PhD in statistics. He now lectures in statistics at the University of Adelaide and strongly believes that everyone should know stats.
