Writing Critique Session

Meet up and critique each others work. Bring up to 10 pages double spaced, and enough copies for everyone. We are open to any style; prose, biography, short story, novel, sci fi, etc.

Share your work ahead of time, if possible, to give folks a chance to provide more detailed feedback.

At the meeting we'll review in the order people arrive and keep reviews to under 20 minutes per item. If we do not get to yours this time, we can put you at the top of the queue for the next review.

Do not take the critiques personally, we’re here to help each other improve our work.

Give thoughtful and useful critiques. Provide honest feedback. If you don’t let them know there’s a problem, they may never get it published because of those issues.

Be open to critique; i.e. listen and do not try and explain when you hear the critique (you won’t be there for your readers). Remember, you are the author, and these are suggestions; do with them what you will.
