Happy Hour Gone Wild! (American River Float Trip)

Pirate theme! -- Floating the American River is one of my favorite activities in the world. It is all about getting together with fun friends to enjoy the some sunshine, a few laughs, and the great outdoors. It's mostly a lot of relaxing and partying mixed in with a little bit of adventure with hardly a care in the world.

We'll plan to get an early start Saturday morning to allow us time to get our equipment, supplies, and people together. Please go shopping and get organized the day before so all you need to get on Saturday morning is ice. Figure out how much food and beverage you think you'll need and DOUBLE IT!

With safety in mind, staying hydrated out on the water can be a serious issue! You'll find that the value of a cold one on the river goes up exponentially as you come close to running out. It'll be easiest if you'd like to rent a raft at River Rat Raft Rental. They'll set you up with a nice sturdy one, take it off your hands at the end of the day, and give you a ride ($5) back up to your car. If you plan to bring your own boat(s), we can help you leave your car at the take-out BEFORE our day begins. Most of us will take out at the Harrington River Access.

If you'd like to join us, please leave a comment indicating what you plan to float on or if you'd like to pitch in and rent a raft with others (about $25 each). And for extra credit, indicate any fun stuff you might bring along (water cannons, flags, mardi gras beads, floaty pool toys, costumes, amazing spirit, you name it!)
