SAC New Thought Center NextGens Circle

As followers of New Thought Christianity, the SAC New Thought Center wholeheartedly believes that whimsy, playfulness, and delight serve as vital expressions of our truly Divine nature rather than mere superficial traits. While traditional dogmas often frame spirituality around solemnity, judgment, and original sin, New Thought fundamentally reimagines the universe as a “religion of healthy-mindedness”. In this framework, joy and lightheartedness are core indicators of alignment with Spirit. Cultivating a genuine sense of whimsy in our lives can also offer each of us a sense of agency in creating our own happiness that is so deeply needed in our current world.

With all of this in mind, SAC is happy to facilitate NextGens, an affinity group of younger Millennial and Gen Z folks who wish to experience healing, restoration and transformation through a variety of face to face, analog activities and events that promote relaxation, recreation, peace and, yes, whimsy. These activities can include board game/jigsaw puzzling nights, local coffee house/quiz night meetups, knitting/crocheting/needlepoint jams, in-house ukulele lessons, yoga sessions, walking clubs, physical book of the month clubs (spiritual or not), scrapbooking and memory board creation and the list goes on…all free from digital devices of any kind!
