1 in 13 children is managing food allergies. That is an average of 2 children per classroom and about 6 million children in the United States alone.
Food Allergy Support of Sacramento (FASS) was founded in 2003 by Jennifer Bingham and Liz Krauss, parents of food-allergic children who wanted face-to-face support and connections to other parents also managing food allergies on a daily basis.
Today, FASS continues to be a volunteer-run food allergy support group in Sacramento, California and surrounding areas. We offer support for parents, caregivers and families affected by food allergies by holding meetings both online and in-person, playgroups and numerous food-free events throughout the year. We strive to educate the community about the significance and prevalence of food allergies; as well as, advocating for positive change, not just in our community but across the state of California and the United States.
Please join our forums, attend a meetup, and enjoy connecting with other parents of food-allergic children!
DISCLAIMER: Food Allergy Support of Sacramento (FASS) is a parent-run group providing emotional support and non-medical information to assist in the day-to-day difficulties presented by food allergies. Medical advice will not be given at any meeting. We believe in the value and importance of each member consulting their own medical advisor for information specific to the food allergic individual's medical history.
