June 14th Intro to Outdoor Sport Leading Clinic at The Emeralds
This is an entry level lead climbing course that provides a pathway for indoor sport climbers to take themselves outdoors safely and competently. This course is designed to take gym leaders and show them the skills to achieve a high level of safety and competency as an outdoor sport leader.

– Rope Management and Foot Positioning

– Top Rope Anchor Building
– Cleaning & Lowering Off
– Rappelling
– Pitfalls and Safe Practices Outside
– Stick Clipping

This is a great course for folks who have been wanting to become more confident lead climbing outside or looking to make the gym to crag transition.

Many climbers transitioning from indoors to outdoors lack the fundamental tools to be able to facilitate a safe outdoor climbing day.
This is an 8 hour course to demystify technical skills such as anchor building, cleaning and lowering, proper quickdraw orientation, lead belaying, and common risk management practices and mindsets for being in an outdoor climbing environment.
