Day Hike (2A) Tilden Regional Park (Sacramento Group)

In the hills west of Berkeley, this hike follows a ridge trail to Vollmer and Wildcat Peaks, with sweeping panoramic views of the Bay to the north and west, Briones and San Pablo Reservoirs to the east, and Mt. Diablo and the valley below to the south. There will be lunch at a favorite hilltop with a great view. Towards the end, we’ll drop down to the Visitors Center. 7 miles, mostly flat or downhill, with a car shuttle. Bring a spare layer in case the ridge is breezy. Bring lunch and liquids. Trails mostly exposed; sunscreen is advised.

No dogs (park rule). Rain Cancels. Leader keeps a slow pace with frequent stops. Gear list and other information will be provided after approval.

Each participant must carry a completed confidential Sierra Club Medical Form (please see https://tinyurl.com/2p8dtefp). Each participant will be required to sign the Sierra Club Sign-In & Waiver Form at the Trailhead.
