Earlier this year you heard that the Parker Spacecraft became the fastest known object. Mike Chibnik will present what he has learned about the life and work of Eugene Newman Parker and also the workings and mission of this unique spacecraft which bears his name to confirm the theory that explains the cause of Solar Coronal Heating. Mike will also delve into the subject which the news neglected to mention that the Parker Spacecraft also experiences the largest Relativistic effects of any object made by man so far.
Mike Chibnik has been active in astronomy since the last return of Halley's comet in 1986, with articles published in Astronomy magazine in the early 90's on Video and CCD imaging.
