This outing starts and ends at Eagle Camp Corral. During registration, select either the 6:30am or 8:30am start time. Sunrise is at 6:23am. The 6:30 starters will have the option of heading home at 8:30 or continuing on until 12 noon, as at least 1 docent will swing by the Corral to pick up the 8:30am guests.

Docents will scout earlier in the week to assess best bird activity at several locations on the preserve not accessible by the general public on marked hiking trails. A riparian willow patch may afford nice views of migrating and summer resident warblers along with an assortment of flycatchers. We will also visit some blue oak woodland and interior live oak woodland to diversify the potential bird list. We expect to cover up to 4 miles between 6:30 and Noon.
