Lughnasadh AKA Lammas is the first of 3 harvest festivals on the Wheel of the Year, our solar calendar. Traditionally at this Sabbat. we celebrate our abundant harvest, the bounty of the land, corn, and grains. We separate “the wheat from the shaft,” metaphorically keeping what we want or need and discarding what is not useful. Usually, this ritual takes the shape of baking bread or a ceremony with corn, but because of so many food sensitivities these days with GMO corn and wheat (Also allergies or personal restrictions) at this ritual we will “harvest” items in abundance from our own homes to offer each other in a gift exchange! From your possessions you will separate what to keep and what to release, then offer your abundance to others in circle.

High Priestess Dev leads the ritual in the Neo-Wiccan way. Participants are energetically cleansed with incense, energy is grounded, centered and open to higher realms to shift from the mundane to the magickal realms. Dev will cast the circle and call in the directions/elements and invoke the Divine. Participants will pull an oracle card for a message from Spirit, then our magickal work/play begins. We will share the bounty of our own lives, speaking into the circle what your offering meant to you and why you are letting it go. The perfect recipient will then receive this gift. Energy is raised with drums, rhythm, and dance to celebrate our release and our abundance!
Ritual closes with “Cakes and Ale” (honey mead and a non-alcohol beverage), and a gluten free vegan treat.

We got you! Join us at The Prism and Pendulum this Saturday from 12-4pm for our monthly Spirit Faire. This free event is our monthly open house. We are located at The Prism and Pendulum shop (156 W. Grand Ave, Escondido). Also inside of our shop is the Raven's Nest art gallery, which has a brand new art show featuring art of various mediums (including prints!) for sale from local artists. Our vendors will be stationed at popups in the back of the shop/alley. This event is held on the 3rd Saturday of every month.
Many of The Prism and Pendulum's spiritual practitioners, healers, and energy workers will be demonstrating their services, offering small samples, and answering questions.
We will also have some of our pop-up market friends selling their wonderful wares.
If you’re hungry and thirsty, we even have that covered! Our friends from Vitality Treats are ready to serve you their superfood gelato, mocktails, and herbal elixirs.
Readings and services by practioners typically range from $10-$50. Cash is always preferred!
