SACRED SOUND - SOUTH FLORIDA (KIRTAN & MORE)

WHAT WE OFFER

This group focusses on sacred sound - the spiritual and healing power of sound - any sound (instrumental, vocal, or mental) that takes us deeper, that helps us resonate with the deeper laws of nature, that brings harmony to our physiology and to the environment, that enlivens or empowers us, that brings awakening to us and peace to the world. This includes:

(a) any sound that takes us inward and reminds us of who we are at our core (infinite silence, source, pure consciousness, samadhi) or

(b) any sound that expands us outward and reminds us of our vast, divine, god/goddess nature (unbounded awareness, infinite dynamism, huge love, ecstasy).

Some examples:
• Kirtan
• Other types of chanting
• Bhajan
• Singing bowls
• Gongs
• Vocal toning
• Gandharva veda ragas (classical Indian/Vedic music)
• Spiritual songs
• Hand drumming
• The sounds of nature
• Mantra
• Any any other sound modalities that accomplish these goals but that we've forgotten

This group is a community calendar for south Florida - for all sorts of great events - such as performances, education (classes, lessons, workshops, seminars), ceremonies, community circles, field trips/outings, parties/social events, etc.

We focus on the 10 counties of South Florida (Monroe/Keys, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, Saint Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, Glades, and Hendry) - exceptions are regional festivals and workshops that would be of significant interest to our group members - within a 6-hour drive.

Events are listed on our calendar by performers, event organizers, yoga studios, spiritual centers, etc.

WHO CAN JOIN

Everyone is welcome - performers, organizers, appreciative participants, seekers of coherence, awakening, and bliss, those searching for their conscious 'tribe', etc.
