Stories with the Spider God

Details

Come join us for something a little different: scary stories from a Spider God. His stories often involve misdirection and magic; politics and trickery, but almost always masks.

He was born full grown from an egg and was the size of an ordinary human. He has a big round body like a spider, with slender arms and legs, and powerful hands and feet. As a trickster, The Spider figure has many roles, and even changes gender in tales throughout different cultures.

Masks can hide who you are or tell everyone exactly what you are. They play prominently in the stories of The Web Weaver and Tale Spinner. So wear a mask and expect to be pulled into a story as the evening progresses. This is a child friendly event and is hosted by Ray Ray from Wild Gods, who is also of the Lakota people.
