Nationwide Trader Joe's Protests: Cut ties with Perdue's Petaluma Poultry!

Hundreds, if not thousands of animal activists have called or written to Trader Joe's asking them to cut ties with Perdue Poultry. We have even delivered letters to their corporate offices many times. They are very aware of our investigations about the immense cruelty and disease at Petaluma Poultry. Direct Action Everywhere has been documenting animal cruelty, including birds collapsed on the floors stuck on their backs unable to get to food or water. They saw birds legs splayed on the floor, birds with open wounds, birds who entered the slaugherhouse scalder while still conscious and were boiled alive. They witnessed birds with infectious diseases that threaten public health.
Instead of taking action to address animal cruelty, authorities in Sonoma County, have worked with Purdue's Petaluma Poultry to prosecute investigators and animals rescuers.

Investigator Zoe Rosenberg is facing 1 felony and 4 misdemeanors for rescuing 4 sick and injured chickens from their slaughterhouses, in June 2023, and 5 years in prison.

This is becuase they do not want the public to know about this horrific cruelty inside Petaluma's Perdue Poultry.
